Description

The Senior Product Director will report to the Vice President of Product Management, serving as the strategic leader for the Digital Infrastructure business unit which includes Networking and Power.  The position will be responsible for building and maintaining the strategic vision while driving the team to achieve top lines sales. Acting as the business leader the Senior Product Director must demonstrate understanding of market positioning, voice of customer, managing product pipelines and effectively working across functions. The Senior Product Director must have solid business acumen with experience in presenting to senior leadership.  The Product Director should be experienced in leading and developing cross-functional team members.

 

Specific Responsibilities

  • Accountable for delivering top line sales and gross margin
  • Developing growth strategy by market segment
  • Creating innovative strategies to increase market share
  • Accountable for various methods of increasing unique buying customers
  • Identify and unite new opportunities for strategic relationships to drive category growth
  • Act as the subject matter expert/Brand Champion within the category
  • Coach team to develop category road maps to best fit customers’ needs
  • Constantly meeting with customers to gather insights
  • Supervise entry level and intermediate team members
  • Drive semi-annual strategic planning sessions to establish goals and objectives
  • In-depth knowledge of competitive products and maintain analysis of competitive strengths and weaknesses
  • Comprehension of current customers and their needs within the product line
  • Retain benchmarking and pricing for top competitors
  • Drive corporate initiatives to increase profitability of the category
  • Lead cross-functional teams with humility

 

Required Qualifications

  • 12+ Years’ experience, category or brand management of a consumer product
  • Demonstrated track record of bringing complex products to market
  • Demonstrated track record of proven business results
  • Advanced knowledge of business financials
  • Ability to think strategically and make decisions based on thorough research and analysis
  • Experience developing and executing marketing programing
  • Experience reducing cost and inventories
